It's a variation on a joke I must have heard first at least a quarter of a century ago:
"What's the last thing that goes through a fly's mind when it hits a windscreen?
Its arse".
Not that its the height of comedic genius in the first place, but the TfL version loses something in the translation. Such as the point.
