The Microsoft Grammar Nazi appears to know an awful lot more than we do:

As ever with the Microsoft Word Grammar Nazi, its occasional lunatic aberrations would be simply entertaining if the program didn't then repeatedly ignore your protestations and insist on forcing its suggestions on you:

We’re a bit concerned about the Grammar Nazi at work. The Microsoft Word grammar checker, to give it its official title, has always been a bit capricious, sporadically claiming that perfectly healthy sentences are “fragments” and what have you, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary for this software. Recently, though, the Nazi seems to be going slightly cock-eyed, suggesting inexplicable alternatives:



And, in one case, just flat out appearing to editorialise:

We’re keeping an eye on it. We wonder if it’s having problems at home.
