I was quite disappointed to miss the debate Simon Hoggart sat in on. His article will no doubt have rankled in the House, though; once in a purple moon he comes over from the Commons, and when he does all the serious work is going on in the comittee room next door while for once all the backwoods nutters are in the chamber, blathering about bloody squirrels.
