In the middle of yesterday's debate about preparations for upcoming pandemics, the Bishop's dilemma didn't quite seem to capture other people's imaginations the way it had his.

I was dead disappointed about ITV news last night. They had a whole bit on the Torture debate in the US and didn't use the 24 4-screen countdown thingy once. Then they decided to use it for the story on pensions reform.

I think we should spend parliamentary time passing legislation on emergency vicars, as opposed so shovelling mounds of corpses into a pit and setting fire to them. It's what they would have wanted.
