Of the many questions raised by the execution of bin Laden—who in Pakistan knew of his presence, how exactly he evaded capture for a decade and so on—I find none so pressing as this: what the hell is going on in this picture? Does the president often wear a cape? Did he get the call when he was midway through dressing up as Batman? Or is it his Cloak of Invisibility?

It's not so much the cape that bothers me per se as two fairly minor details:

- One, that the president appears to have three sets of shoulders, indicating that he is either a Hindu god, or is one of the Seraphim mentioned in Isiah: "Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly."

- Two, that the advisor on the extreme right of the picture appears to be Darius Jerbergh from "The Edge of Darkness".

He's flashing his tackle and shouting, "Geronimo!"
