A sincere request: if you’re designing hardware or the software to run on it—PC, Mac, whatever—please ensure that it:-

• repeatedly stops doing the one thing that you own it for

• stops every time in a way that necessitates a lengthy and unnecessary restart of the whole machine

• is in no way able to explain what has gone wrong, and

• mystifies all users alike so that Google can be of no assistance

Otherwise, after all these years, both at home and at work, I honestly wouldn’t know what the fuck to do with myself.
