An intriguing ministerial title in the Commons, combining what seem at first to be two very different responsibilities: Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Equalities and Criminal Information.

I hope that this doesn't reveal too much about the minds that devised it, and that the word "Minorities" isn't an implicit missing link.

Hmm, I'm guessing that it was partially to give Lynne an actual Home Office job that isn't "keep an eye on the bigot you're working with" which is broadly speaking what her actual job is...
