Haven't 'boffins' kind of done this? I remember a frightening Sunday Mirror front page in the late 80s. They did it with monkeys, although it's technically more of a body transplant than a head transplant. And they can't reconnect the spinal cord, so the monkey can only lie there. Staring down at his new tits.
