The Commons has been suspended since lunchtime. The Lords, however, are still going. In the main Chamber they're debating the provision of palliative care in the UK, and in Committee they're all over the Financial Assistance Scheme regulations.

It's like bloody Carry On Up The Khyber in here.

EDIT: Turns out the Commons was only suspended briefly. They're back now, discussing the biscuit industry.

Au contraire - we're reporting a debate on sustainable development in Westminster Hall. Most diverting.

Fabulous!

I sent off for an application form for the Hansard gig last night, by the way. Wish me luck...

I can indeed confirm that the Commons sat as usual this afternoon (and is still going, in fact.)

What are the gradations of alert again Black, Black Special, then what?

BTW - Good luck [livejournal.com profile] verlaine!!!

None More Black.

The fact that Parliament is still going is a triumph, whatever it is they're banging on about. The right to bang on is what this is all about.

Yes, sorry about that - turned out the Commons was only suspended for a while. The order of the day trundled on as normal, including an enlightening debate on the biscuit industry.
