I was never clear whether white dog poo denoted rubbish dog food or just the length of time the thing had been sat in the street. Either way I saw some white dog poo in the street over near Walworth about five years ago, which tells you a fair bit of what you need to know about Lambeth.

My sources tell me that dog food used to contain greater quantities of bone meal, which ended up as the last thing to become decayed in poo, hence the whiteness.
