Dec. 15th, 2005 09:18 amAs Iraq lurches unsteadily to the polls, and an increasingly defensive George Bush spells out once again why we unilaterally invaded (“Saddam was a threat”, he said. A threat? Yes. To us? No), I choose to see it as a good sign that the Iraqi government’s website hasn’t been updated since September this year. Hopefully it means that they’re far too busy dealing with murderous thugs and zealots “brave resistance fighters”* to hunker down with their HTML manuals.

Of course it’s possible that the few people able to update their website have all been killed, but, if that were the case, would I still be allowed to find amusing the single scrolling item of news announcing that “The Iraqi PM announces a three day moaning on the victims of the Khadmia Imamain Bridge”?
