I'm reading a book on infinity at the moment, and if I've understood correctly (unlikely) the scenario Lord Mackenzie describes is mathematically possible.

Something like that. It's one of those books where you (by which I mean 'I') only really understand it while I'm reading it.

My understanding of these things falters at all the crucial steps and most of the non-crucial ones. Although I do remember that the symbol for the power set of R is that Hebrew letter, which I can't get here.
