Not that this has been bothering him for thirty years or anything.

Earl Attlee: Another problem arises where a serviceperson is required to pay for loss or damage of equipment... I have personally been invited by administrative action to pay for loss of equipment. I never signed for the equipment I was alleged to have lost—a sleeping bag. The quartermaster sergeant did not have any paperwork that I had signed to show that I had lost a sleeping bag. I do not wish to deny that I am naive when it comes to the workings of our fair and democratic government, but would it be possible to petition my local Member of Parliament to make my personal (and likely quite petty) grievances a matter of official public record? I still remember that I was overcharged by my university's canteen once. Needless to say, I never went there again and have now moved halfway around the world. But the matter must be put to rest.
