The Web of Evil

I've concluded that we now have a generation of politicians (mainly male) who grew up in families so wealthy that they could afford to give their sons the very best education money can buy. As a result, these boys grew up mistaking being rich for being clever. Then they got into high level positions not by merit but because of their "connections". Many of them then found themselves in intellectually demanding jobs for which they lacked the necessary higher level critical thinking skills. That would explain Cameron, Osborne, both the Johnson brothers, Gove, Jeremy Hunt, Philip Hammond and probably many others. We are being governed by intellectual lightweights who are thoroughly out of their depth.
