Oh, I don't care how obvious it is, I had to mark the poignant fact that when bird flu arrived in the UK (somehow despite the Government having set a target for it to arrive in about six months' time) it did so in the form of a dead parrot.

I'm afraid S. and I have already both declared "It is an ex-parrot. It has ceased to be." (in much the same way as NTNOCN did in the "Life of Christ" sketch) during a news broadcast about this the other day.
