George Michael has been arrested after the car he was driving crashed into a shop near his home in Hampstead, north London. The 47-year-old singer's vehicle collided with the front of a branch of Snappy Snaps in the early hours of Sunday morning (4 July), reportedly after returning from the gay pride march in central London. Did you know the French take Segways seriously? I was stunned. In fact at Lille station I wanted to take a picture of the "Segway parking" sign but there was an aggressive local drunk lurching around in front of it and I lacked the necessary language skills to smooth over any possible misunderstandings.
