All my buddies would be at my funeral, looking at me: “You know Dave shit on himself right before the end?” “Saw it on the news. Died crying like a bitch.”

sprang to mind when I read this:

Police have released a CCTV image of a thief who was seen crying in the street after he dropped cash he had stolen from a Buckinghamshire shop.

Two men targeted the One Stop Shop in Bradwell Common in Milton Keynes on the morning of 6 May. One of the men was holding £7,000 stolen from the safe, but dropped large quantities of it when he was chased by members of the public.

The man was seen walking along the street crying shortly afterwards. [BBC]

Ah gosh. That is really sad. Maybe it shouldn't be, I don't know, but it seems sad to me.

It kind of is, which is why it’s one thing to have your mug plastered all over the news as “DARING ARMED ROBBER STEALS MILLIONS, FLEES COUNTRY” but quite another if you’re known as “man who dropped stolen money and cried”.

It makes me think that sometimes maybe the reasons someone would steal money like that are reasons that'd drive a person, a supposedly brave, criminal person, to cry. Ach. Horrible.
