A picture is worth a thousand LIVES

A couple of weeks ago, when a Norwegian tabloid reprinted Denmark’s groundbreaking “fuck you Abdul” cartoons, I almost posted something about it. Then other stuff happened and I didn’t get around to it for a few days. “Ah, never mind,” I thought. “The story’ll be long dead before I ever get around to it.”



So, as smoke and ashes from what's left of Asia and the Middle East drift past my window, a word or two about what I urgently hope history will christen the Cartoon Riots. First, a cartoon:
