Joan Stark's ASCII Art Gallery

"DO YOU THINK TEXT ART IS DULL?" asks Joan abruptly on the front page. "You might not think so after visiting this website," she continues hurriedly. Maybe. Or, like me, you might find yourself remaining profoundly ambivalent about the whole enterprise. How long, for example, did Joan spend doing this?

Er, don't be alarmed by the "spunk1111" section of the URL, by the way. I've no idea what Joan was thinking, but it doesn't at all reflect the nature of the site. Though try explaining that to a firewall.

Is it wronge to think that's kind of sweet, in a geeky way?

D'you think Joan rather lost patience with the fairy's bottom foot? Or does the fairy have a wooden leg? Or ... er ... no. Let's not go there.

It's a fairy? I thought it was a nude woman using a cigarette holder, with a ghost on her shoulder.

Don't be silly, if it were a nude woman she'd have nipples!

ASCII artists are buggers for detail.

She's very thin. It's a poor example for other text based women to feel pressured by.

It's probably because she's been stuck on top of that pole for so long.

When ASCII people go on diets, do they lose #s?
