Anti-capitalist activists surprised workers in Canary Wharf with a flash-mob-style protest to mark International Workers’ Day. Many campaigners dressed in suits to blend in with the crowds of employees leaving work, before stopping to dance to music from a sound system hidden in a briefcase by organisers. After Canary Wharf security guards asked the protestors to turn off the music, the group of almost 100 carried on singing songs such as Working Nine to Five by Dolly Parton, and danced in a long conga line around the Tube station.
