Last week Afghan officials announced they thought they had captured Taliban military commander Mullah Dadullah. Now they have had to announce that in fact they haven’t, although they do know they have caught a senior Taliban member. The reason there was confusion, it transpires, was that this man “fits the general description of Mullah Dadullah”.
What, do you reckon, did this “general description” consist of?

Unfortunately his only useful defining feature to Western eyes, beyond “dressed as mullah” and “no eyepatch”, probably doesn't have much currency in Afghanistan: “looks like Simon Callow”.
