(no subject)

I can't talk to other people on Livejournal any more. That's not a statement of intent, it's a fact; when I try and access comments, on my own page and other people's, I just get a blank screen. If I happen to be using a PC somewhere else, I can read the comments as usual and reply, but if I'm at home, no chance.

Why is this happening?* Has someone been "improving" the coding on the comments pages? It's like having my very own crap IT department.

* I realise that if anyone posts an answer to this question I won't be able to read it.

Recently Metro reported that a 15-year-old boy had been sentenced to four months in a young offenders' institution for breaching an ASBO served on him before Christmas for repeated vandalism. He had been caught tagging trains in a depot despite the terms of the order, and was sent down accordingly.

At this point I was thinking that this boy was very driven. His demons clearly compelled him to continue with his illicit activities, even in the face of possible imprisonment. Nothing could be allowed to stifle his creative spirit; he was battling for his soul, his identity—to him everything else was mere vapid shadow and fickle illusion. My Christ, the boy had to be an ARTIST!

Seriously, kid, it wasn't worth going to prison for that.
