One thing I forgot to mention from Endless Thursday: around 2am in the Commons, while the opposition were furiously demanding that Tony turn up, Charles Clarke stood up to speak, and, amid the general heckling, I swear I heard the following:

Tory 1: We don't want the organ grinder!
Tory 2: Yes we do! We don't want the monkey!
**pause**
Tory 1: We don't want the monkey!
