Why "Banger intolerance" isn't number one yet i don't know. *on one!*

Spam's not what it used to be, though. I rather miss exotically monickered folk such as Fergus Q. Treeponce exhorting my inbox with dada-esque invocations; no matter how long one attempted to decipher these Burroughs-esque blibblings, it was impossible to tell what they were actually attempting to sell you. Happy days.

Presumably "Oralle"'s "Banger intolerance" is how she got her nickname.

I just picked up a few albums myself; Deirdre Dodge Longer...Harder, Yolanda Hendricks The Braintree Herself and Marisol Patterson's latest King Of Pharrrmacy.

Yolanda's a bit mental, obviously.

God, I love spam.

Ha ha. I just got that. Only took me an hour or so.

> Happy days.

They had their ups (http://webofevil.livejournal.com/11228.html) and downs (http://webofevil.livejournal.com/158360.html).

As a recent befriender, I missed these insightful critiques first time round. I feel a university syllabus brewing...

Minda's is a children's album. Cara Armstrong, Leah Leblank, Stephnie Ferguson and Magan Gray are women in their thirties making records for women in their thirties who feel bad because their boyfriend has just left them for someone ten years younger. The album covers show them walking along a beach looking wistful, or sitting in a modern minimalist interior looking wistful. Kory Murdock is a former boyband member now making a play for the "women in their thirties" market. His album cover says "hey ladies, he may have left you for a younger woman but I'm still here for you". Wifredo Webster, Experiment Dodson and Oralle Burke are quirky alternative rock, and Elbert Hart likes to explain in interviews that "drug" "could mean anything really". Ten years from now he'll be talking about his time in rehab.

Actually, "Reading For Fun" is the poignant, slightly ironic title for Minda's third album of feel-good not-quirky-enough MOR that is destined to clog up the top 10 for the foreseeable. She will be supporting Jack Johnson on his forthcoming tour.

Slightly tangentially to this rich seam of genius you've uncovered ... I got spam with the subject line "Mobilfunkboom und Kurssprung", which is clearly a lost Kraftwerk album.
