A belated thank you to all those who made it to my belated birthday celebration. [1] Also belatedly, here is the latest instalment of [livejournal.com profile] flaneurette’s journey into ties, which she gave to me on my belated birthday:

“This is more an everyday tie,” she said. A glimpse into [livejournal.com profile] flaneurette’s idea of “everyday”, there.

[1] That is, [livejournal.com profile] flaneurette, [livejournal.com profile] chiller, [livejournal.com profile] offensive_mango, [livejournal.com profile] lovelyjubbly, [livejournal.com profile] rainsinger, [livejournal.com profile] strictlytrue, [livejournal.com profile] internetsdairy, [livejournal.com profile] drummygirl, [livejournal.com profile] nudejournal, my esteemed colleague and others equally worthy of mention but who don’t have LJ accounts and so whose privacy cannot be so easily guarded. Those who couldn’t: you were missed.

Lovely tie there. I thought it was a cake when I first looked at that photo. Mmmm, cake. Anyway, happy birthday, would have loved to have come!

Do you have the world's longest scanner?

Sorry, to clarify, because it looks like the tie has been scanned in one go, on one huge scanner.

That's okay, I kind of figured that's why you were asking the question, rather than having heard a rumour down at the docks or something. I actually have a perfectly normal scanner, Photoshop and perhaps too much time on my hands on the weekends.
