Daily Nooz

Those of you familiar with [livejournal.com profile] offensive_mango's frequent valiant rearguard actions against lazy or outright bad usage of language (even spelling!), see if you can spot the element of this headline from Wednesday's Daily News that might ever so slightly peeve her:
City man sez L.I. cops beat him after arrest

Also gleaned from Wednesday's edition, moving words from veteran news anchor Ted Koppel, speaking at the memorial service of fellow—but dead—veteran news anchor Peter Jennings:

Rim shot, band leader wets himself with delight, [livejournal.com profile] webofevil runs hands through own hair and repeats punchline several times over applause as if he's only just begun to understand it himself, then barely manages to finish the line "We'll be right back, don't go awa-" before being interrupted by fifteen minutes of fuckawful commercials.
