Apologies in advance

We need our advert to be hard-hitting, said someone from the council. We want, they went on, to shock Barnet council tenants out of their complacency regarding this issue.

No problem, said someone from the agency. We’ll run up just the thing. Leave it to us to judge the tone. After all, we do this for a living.

[Under a cut because some people, especially those with children, will find the content genuinely quite upsetting. Readers of a sensitive disposition are warned not to blame me.]

That is really horrible. The stuff of nightmares, and of course so unlikely to make any difference.

I took a snap of this, similarly misguided attempt to do good work. Not as nasty, but rather WTF, I think.

Ladies! Don't be shy, brighten up the lunchtime break of your working men with a quick flash. Why not organise a wet t-shirt competition among your friends? Remember, the British economy was built on sexual stereotyping.
