Ringing endorsement

Of the people who have ever told me I should be on the radio, do voice-overs etc, one of the highlights will always be a rather drunk Lembit Öpik MP telling me forcefully in the pub last Thursday that:
“You have a motherfucker of a radio DJ voice.”

Really???!

Man, it's so unfair. I want to meet Lembit more than anyone, and everyone seems to get brilliant chats with him.

hHHHahahahahahaha! Excellent!

Does he not just go on about asteroids?

He will go on for ten minutes when his metaphorical asteroid button is pushed. Then he will stop and debate pretty much any question put to him, even if, thanks to my esteemed colleague, it concerns anal sex.

...it concerns anal sex.
I think we need more! Information about the debate, that is, not anal sex.

Although I would also like anal sex please.

It concerned hypocrisy rather than enquiries into Lembit's private doings. No-one gave a shit that Chris Smith was gay all the time he was in the Cabinet, because he never claimed anything different. Mark Oaten, on the other hand, continuously played the happy nuclear family card, so when it transpired his boys had taken one hell of a beating from a rent boy, there was no way back. It was in that context that my esteemed colleague asked Mr Öpik MP if he had ever had anal sex.

With regard to your second enquiry, I am afraid [livejournal.com profile] webofevil is unable to make personal appearances, but enclosed please find a signed photograph. I remain, sir, etc.

But do you have a face for radio?

I use that line when telling people about my radio experience and about 70% of them miss the joke...

Does he not just go on about asteroids?

Isn't that enough?

[identity profile] lowlowprices.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
And you continue to ignore his and my advice because?

[identity profile] ultraruby.livejournal.com 2006-06-26 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! With this and the other post you have increased the quality of the internet by at least 10% today, I think.
