Sorry, only just seen this. I find it interesting, entertaining, engaging, sometimes infuriating. That's in the Lords; the job is harder in Commons Committee (which is where I'm guessing you've been offered the job), because - going against all accepted cliché - they tend to talk more nonsense there. Whether you'd enjoy it partly depends on what you're used to. strictlytrue should be able to give you a measured and balanced picture of what it 's like to work there, as that's his stamping ground.
