I like the Texas point. Intoxication in this country affects one's capacity to enter into contract too and the comparison is very interesting from a sociolegal perspective. Unfortunately, consent in rape is not seen as the same thing. Sadly under the new(ish) SOA, you would be better off drinking until you were legless and unconscious( well, you'd have more legal protection from an lairy lad) and completely passed out as a result rather than having a little drinkie and being a tad under the influence.

Go ahead ladies - binge drinking is perversly sanctioned by default. Cheers.
